Benzie County is having a formal dedication and celebration for the tenth historical marker. The diamond-shaped crossing of steel rails and the subsequent rail traffic that it facilitated was instrumental in the growth and economic development of Northern Michigan. The official historic marker dedication will be followed by a “public visioning session for the future”, and community members are encouraged to join the celebration and share their vision for this historic site.
